Confetti Mix Shrimp is a playful Tails & Fin choice for anyone who enjoys spotting different colors among their plants.

Is this right for me?

A choice for a tank that is already set up and cycled. Read the setup steps below before adding shrimp.

Getting your tank ready

Use an aquarium that has completed its cycle: helpful bacteria in the filter must be established to break down animal waste. A newly filled tank is not ready for animals just because the water looks clear. Keep water conditions steady and add plants or hiding places. Offer small portions of shrimp food alongside the tiny food particles they pick from surfaces, and remove leftovers.

Keeping it with other animals

Choose gentle fish and other animals carefully: fish may eat baby shrimp. Neocaridina is the group these colorful shrimp belong to. Different colors can breed together, so keep one color per tank if you want babies to keep that color.

What you get

Packs of 5, 10 or 20 young adults, approximately 1/2–3/4 inch. Exact color combinations are not selectable.

A closer look

Mixed-color Neocaridina; at least three colors per pack. These describe reference water conditions, not every condition the shrimp can tolerate.
