Getting your tank ready

Before adding animals, the tank must complete its cycle: helpful filter bacteria need time to establish so they can break down animal waste. Check the space, water, and group-size needs of every included animal. A starter bundle is not a ready-to-use aquarium, and its name does not tell you the tank size needed.

Good to know

Different colors of Neocaridina shrimp can breed together. The babies may not keep the same colors as their parents. Keep color groups in separate tanks if you want to breed for a particular color.
