About this snail

The only mystery is the name! 🐌 Mystery Snails are a species of snail. You’ll get the variety you ordered!

Choose your shell color and add a little personality to feeding time. These colorful mystery snails are active freshwater grazers that need a proper feeding routine alongside the algae in their tank.

Is this right for me?

Choose this snail for a cycled freshwater tank and be ready to feed it, even if there is algae to eat.

Getting your tank ready

Use an aquarium that has completed its cycle: helpful bacteria in the filter must be established to break down animal waste. A newly filled tank is not ready for animals just because the water looks clear. Offer suitable sinking food and softened, blanched vegetables alongside the food the snail finds on surfaces. Remove leftovers.

Keeping it with other animals

Choose gentle fish and other animals, and check that their water needs match before keeping them together.

What you get
